This is beautiful light entertainment. Released in early 2018 it is one of my favorite African productions from that year. The storyline is not complex and neither is it emotionally draining despite the sad back story. I think it is another movie to enjoy with family on movie night.
The movie has some of the best old and new talent in Nollywood and a number of my personal favorites like Dakore, Kate, Blossom, and Jemima
The Story
A start-up designer finds her self suddenly a billionaire at the death of her father and has to make key decisions. Having to deal with the lie from her past, an opportunist boyfriend and new family who have mixed emotions about how to move forward in her life.
That aside she also has to deal with giving up on her dreams and starting a life she feels is not cut out to perform. She is forced to quickly grow up and make the right decisions both for her self and her father’s legacy – a fit that looks and feels impossible.
The Actors
Jemima Osunde does a great job with the lead character Toun so does her lousy self centered boyfriend in the character of Falz. My favorite characters in this are Jemima and, Blossom, Kate Henshaw, and Dakore Akande.
The moment that gets to me most is when she discovers that her father has been alive all this time. The reaction is so real.

Acting: believability
Technical Construction
The cinematography was good. I especially liked the restaurant scene the environment was beautiful. The transformation of Jemima (as well as her friend) from a shop-girl to the CEO was great. The Fashion week was also beautifully set.
Conclusion
I think everything came together beautifully. The sad situation Toun finds herself born into and the story of her transformation is funny without being sophomoric which is often the situation when making comedy in ‘grass to grace’ stories.
Rating
I really enjoyed this story and give it an 8/10
