Gomora has the most twists and turns I have seen in the first two episodes of a series than I ever!
It has a very varied pace, sometimes fast-moving sometimes scenes and messages can take forever to be communicated. As a result, you kind of has to concentrate to follow the storyline. It is one of those movies that makes you think and analyze human behavior instead of just enjoying the plot.
The twists and turns in this series are amazing. You can’t take anything for granted. You will love it if you are introspective and keep wondering if you would do that. Lot’s to learn…
Set in Sandton with Alexander and Gomora a few miles away, this fast-paced drama series divulges the secrets of the rich and poor and the underworld that embraces all of them. It starts with criminal youth stealing a car that belongs to a greedy business owner. He dies in the process and his death shakes everything up revealing toxic relationships and emotions that the family and the people around them had not addressed till then. The matriarch of the family finds herself responsible for putting her daughter and her grandchildren through a myriad of difficult circumstances that her daughter had worked so hard to leave and now has to go back to.
It was great seeing some of my favorite actors however, there is also a lot of new talent in this production and they do a great job. It is hard for me to choose a favorite because everyone did a great job.

Loved the music and sound effects, in some of the scenes really add a punch to many of the scenes, for example when Ntokozo and Teddy save Langa when he is beaten in Alex streets. The editing on this scene and many others are also great.
The series is well worth watching. The plot is interesting and the director made everything come together beautifully.
