The book aims to encourage individuals to be achievers. Soar, is written in a simple, easy to understand theoretical format with examples from scripture and historical achievers. It takes the reader generally from an understanding that they are born to succeed, and, know what needs to be in place for them to be successful.
For most individuals, knowing this and actually getting to success is difficult because they may not be clear on how to implement these components of success, and so are not playing to win. The book highlights who the enemies of success are – not just negative individuals but often our own shortcomings like not using commonsense, lack of enthusiasm, not taking action, and a bad attitude. In fact, failure is more a result of our own lack of discipline and enemies from within than without.
The book also covers key attributes that one should have if they are to be successful; good character, persistence, and ability to negotiate alongside a positive attitude.
If you are looking for a good book that will not focus on the how-to but brings out the key points you need to be successful and avoid failure, written in an easily readable language, then this is the book for you. The addition of relevant scripture also clarifies things for the reader.
