Just a few days ago I did a post on how two Kenyan Spaces presenters were cruel to other men who felt they need empathy in a relationship and the rise in male suicides worldwide. A few hours ago we have Alex Murimi Aka DJ Lithium die at Nairobi Hospital after trying to commit suicide in the office. He was Dj and Producers in the company for 8 years.
The 34-year-old died after swallowing poison. He hosted the Club Capital show, on Fridays, from 11:00pm to 2:00am as well as Jam the same day from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
All said and done it is important that mental health and support for male colleagues and brothers, fathers in our family and network is taken seriously. We may not fully understand what one is going through. But being considerate in our interactions with people around us and taking time to learn something about mental health may help someone in our network.
